Learning Without Limits

With our open curriculum, your student won’t be bound by the confines of the standard core curriculum found at most other colleges. Their only requirement outside their major will be one first-year writing course, which means they’ll enjoy maximum freedom to pursue what excites them while choosing from more than 1,000 classes.

Also, because Smith is a member of the Five College Consortium, your student will also have the opportunity to take courses at four other distinguished institutions within a 12-mile radius of Smith’s campus.
